At the end of the day, I’m a human being and I just think that’s what it is. Challenging Stereotypes by just being who I am!

From 3 days, I had a new neighbor who lives next door now. We see each other everyday, he always says good morning to me and wishing me a beautiful day. His kids are playing with my kids and having fun.

This afternoon, my husband was outside playing with my kids and my neighbors’ ones. My neighbor got out of his house to say hi to my husband.

My neighbor: Hi, this is Chad, nice meeting you.

My husband: I’m “AHMED”, nice meeting you too.

Now, I wonder if my neighbor will allow his kids to play with my kids tomorrow? or even he will say good morning to me again or not!

    1. well…..We develop stereotypes when we are unable or unwilling to obtain all of the information we would need to make fair judgments about people or situations. In the absence of the “total picture,” stereotypes in many cases allow us to “fill in the blanks.” Our society often innocently creates and perpetuates stereotypes, but these stereotypes often lead to unfair discrimination and persecution when the stereotype is unfavorable. For example; French people are lazy workers, Americans are ignorant of the world, Muslims are terrorists. So….I was wondering after my neighbour knew that we are muslims…what would he do!! how he would react!!
